Bandits Ready for 2015 NLL Draft, Awards Ceremony

BUFFALO, N.Y. (September 28, 2015) - With the 2015 NLL Entry Draft and 2015 NLL Season Awards Ceremony scheduled for the next two days, the Buffalo Bandits' management team is ready for a busy 48 hours.

The 2015 NLL Entry Draft is set to take place today, Sept. 28, at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, Ont. The Bandits currently own three picks in the six-round draft, with the team's first pick coming in the second round, No. 11 overall.

Buffalo also owns a third-round pick (No. 27 overall) and a fourth-round pick (No. 36 overall). Fans can watch the Entry Draft live on NLL.com beginning at 7 p.m.

The Georgia Swarm holds the first overall pick and the team has a total of four first-round picks. In addition, the Calgary Roughnecks and Rochester Knighthawks each currently hold two selections in the first round.

The 2015 NLL Season Awards Ceremony takes place on Tuesday night and will be broadcast live on NLL.com at 7 p.m. The Bandits will have five finalists sprinkled among the 11 categories:

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER:

Ryan Benesch (Buffalo), Shawn Evans (Calgary) & Mark Matthews (Saskatchewan)

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR:

Steve Priolo (Buffalo), Chris Corbeil (Saskatchewan) & Kyle Rubisch (Saskatchewan)

PINTY'S WINGMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD:

Dhane Smith (Buffalo), Shawn Evans (Calgary) & Josh Sanderson (Toronto)

GENERAL MANAGER OF THE YEAR:

Steve Dietrich (Buffalo), Terry Sanderson (Toronto) & Curt Styres (Rochester)

EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR:

Scott Loffler (Buffalo), Lewis Staats (Rochester) & Bruce Urban (Saskatchewan)

The league will also be inducting Terry Sanderson to the NLL Hall of Fame and announcing the 2015 All-Pro and All-Rookie Teams during the Awards show.
