Bulldogs Announce Broadcast Team on AM900 CHML

HAMILTON, ONT. - The Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club is pleased to announce radio broadcast plans for the 2015- 16 season on AM900 CHML.
This will be the third season AM900 CHML has been the radio home for the Bulldogs. Broadcasts will commence with the season opening game Friday night at London. Jeff Storey, AM900 CHML Program Director says "We are thrilled to be a partner of the Hamilton Bulldogs and be able to offer such an exciting brand of hockey to our listeners." Storey adds, "Bringing the OHL back to Hamilton is awesome and we look forward to the home opener on Saturday".
Matt Holmes will handle the play by play for all games home and away on AM900 CHML. Matt is in his second season as the play by play voice and will be joined by former AHL Bulldogs and Guelph Storm alumni Ryan Risidore.
Holmes, 34, says "It's great to add a guy like Ryan to the broadcast team. He is plugged in with the local hockey community and he has been where these players are now, and where they want to be."
Risidore, 39, was selected 109th overall by the Hartford Whalers in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He played eight seasons of professional hockey including the 1999-2001 seasons with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. Ryan will be in the booth for all home games and select road games during the 2015-16 season, "I am looking forward to this exciting opportunity to work with Matt Holmes and to witness up close the first season of OHL hockey in Hamilton."
Rick Zamperin, assistant brand, news and sports director at AM900 CHML, will return to host the pre-game show, which features commentary and one-on-one interviews with Bulldogs' players and staff. Zamperin has been in radio for nearly 20 years and has worked in numerous cities, including Fort McMurray, Alta. and Chatham, Ont.
Luke Vermeer, will host the postgame show after every Bulldogs game and conduct intermission interviews for all home games. Luke is from Hamilton and is a Humber College graduate. The post-game show this season will feature game recaps, player interviews and call-in segments.
Hamilton begins the regular season Friday night at 7:30 when they travel to London to take on the Knights at the Budweiser Gardens. The Bulldogs home opener will be the next evening, Saturday September 26th when Hamilton takes on the defending Memorial Cup champion Oshawa Generals at 7:00pm at the FirstOntario Centre.
