Four More Sea Dogs Return from NHL Camps

SAINT JOHN - Four more players have returned to the Saint John Sea Dogs after lengthy stays at training camps with National Hockey League teams.

Centre Nathan Noel was reassigned to Saint John after attending rookie and main training camps with the Anaheim Ducks. The 18-year-old St. John's-native led the Sea Dogs in scoring last season, his second year with Saint John, with 24 goals and 62 points.

Fellow pivot Samuel Dove-McFalls is back from the Philadelphia Flyers, which selected him in the fourth round (98th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft. The 18-year-old Montreal-native had 14 goals and 34 points in 66 games in his second season with Saint John. He recorded an assist in the Sea Dogs' season opener this year.

Wingers Mathieu Joseph and Bokondji Imama rejoin the Sea Dogs from the Tamp Bay Lightning. Tampa Bay selected Joseph in the fourth round (120th overall) and Imama in the sixth round (180th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft. Joseph, an 18-year-old from Chambly, Quebec, recorded 21 goals and 42 points in his second season in Saint John. Imama, the 19-year-old Montreal product, played 23 games with the Sea Dogs after a trade from the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, recording three goals and nine points.

Adam Marsh (Detroit), Spencer Smallman (Carolina) and Jason Bell (Calgary) all returned in recent days.

Two other Sea Dogs remain with their NHL clubs. Jakub Zboril is in training camp with the Boston Bruins, which selected the Czech blueliner with the 13th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft. Defenceman Thomas Chabot, the 18th overall pick by Ottawa, remains in camp with the Senators.

In other roster news, the Sea Dogs announced defenceman Ian Smallwood has been reassigned to the Saint John Vito's (NBPEIMMHL). The 16-year-old from St. John's had four penalty minutes and a +1 rating in three games with Saint John this season. The Sea Dogs selected him in the ninth round (159th overall) of the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft.
