Stars Name Captains for 2015-2016 Season

Lincoln, Neb. - Biagio Lerario has been named captain for the 2015-2016 season, while Patrick Polino, Dylan Woolf and Ludvig Hoff will serve as assistants, the team announced on Wednesday.
"These four young men have distinguished themselves from their peers as the leaders of this hockey club," Stars coach Chris Hartsburg said. "We expect them to be good role models off the ice and provide leadership on it."
Lerario enters his third season with the Stars, having posted 24 goals and 17 assists through 80 games with the team. This season will mark Lerario's fourth in the USHL - after he spent his rookie year and part of his sophomore season with the Chicago Steel.
Similarly, Polino steps into this role as a USHL veteran - recording 169 games through his first three seasons in the league. Polino had 33 points through 60 games with the Stars last season.
Woolf and Hoff will each wear a letter for the first time with the Stars. Last season, Woolf logged four points and 170 penalty minutes as a first-year player while Hoff posted a 16-16-32 stat line during his second campaign.
In addition to selecting four captains, the coaching staff also selected an eight-man leadership group that includes the four captains along with Sam Kauppila, Adam Brady, Christian Evers and Ryan Jones.
