September 23, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Oshawa Generals News Release

It will have been 120 days since the Oshawa Generals set a CHL record and lifted their 5th Memorial Cup. 120 days since the heroics of Cirelli, the brilliance of Appleby and the leadership of Brown.

The Generals now face a new challenge, start a new chapter, and it all begins this Sunday- September 27th, 2015 at 6:05pm. A season where the defending champs will ice a young and exciting team.

The off-season although short, saw a lot of changes. There're two new coaches in Bob Jones and Greg Nemisz and eight new players on the roster. Players like Studnicka, MacLean and Sparkes, show hope for the future.

It's only been 120 days, but it's hockey season once again, all the excitement and passion is back. The Generals are back.

The Generals will take on the Eastern Conference rivals North Bay Battalion. This hard-hitting affair will set the tone for the rest of the season.

The Home Opener presented by our friends at Ontario Motor Sales will be a banner raising night, as the Generals celebrate last season's great accomplishments. Be sure to get here early as the party kicks off at 4 pm with a tailgate outside of the GM Centre. There will be music, games, food and be sure to check out the OMS Direct Truck as they challenge themselves with the fastest tire change.

The first 2015 fans through the gate will also receive a limited-edition commemorative coin. Featuring the Oshawa Generals logo and the Memorial Cup logo, each coin is numbered making them all unique and one of a kind.

The Generals store will be open! The new jerseys with the new memorial cup tribute patches have arrived and will be in the Gens Store on September 27th. Get yours before they are all gone.
