Switchbacks Take on S2 in First Playoff Match

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Wednesday, September 23, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC are hosting playoffs in their very first year!

The Switchbacks will be hosting the USL Western Conference Quarterfinals this Friday, September 25th at 7 p.m. The Switchbacks will be taking on the Seattle Sounders FC 2.

"This is a win or go home game, so we need to come out with a great attitude and play the way we need, especially at our home field," said Switchbacks FC Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "We are playing a quality team, so we have to be at our best."

The Switchbacks have played S2 twice before, during USL regular-season play. The first match ended in a 1-1 draw at Sand Creek Stadium, while the Switchbacks fell to S2, 2-3, a month later in Seattle. The Switchbacks are looking to come out on top for their first playoff match here at home.

The winner of this match will go on to the Western Conference Semifinals in Oklahoma City against the Energy FC on Sunday, October 4th at 4 p.m.

Again, the Switchbacks' first-ever USL playoff match is this Friday, September 25th at 7 p.m. at

Sand Creek Stadium. Tickets start at $10.
