Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced that the team has acquired 20-year-old defenseman Tanner Faith from the Kootenay Ice in exchange for a conditional 5th round pick in 2016.

Faith, 6'4 219lbs, is from Wilcox and was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the 5th round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. In 19 games last season with the Ice, Faith had one goal, six points, and 29 penalty minutes. Faith has played 88 career regular season games, all with Kootenay, he has three goals, 15 points, and 75 penalty minutes. Faith was originally drafted by Kootenay in the 2nd round, 33rd overall, in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.

Faith is expected to make his Warriors debut Thursday when they open the 2015-2016 regular season at Mosaic Place against the Regina Pats in what is a "stand-alone" feature game to kick-off the WHL's 50th Season.
