Lincoln Stars News Release
Lincoln, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars acquired forward Will D'Orsi from the Dubuque Fighting Saints, the team announced on Tuesday.
D'Orsi, a Yale University commit, finished the 2014-2015 season with the Cope Cod Whalers U18 after spending the previous three years with St. Sebastian's School in Needham, Mass.
"We are excited to add Will," Stars General Manager Jon Hull said. "He provides a really nice skill set and I think he'll fit nicely into our group of forwards."
During his time at St. Sebastian's, D'Orsi posted 33 goals and 63 assists in 81 games. He also represented the United States at the U-17 Five Nations Tournament in 2013.
"I like to think of myself as a skilled player who can make those around him better," D'Orsi said. "That certainly doesn't mean I'll be shying away from contact."
D'Orsi played three preseason games with the Fighting Saints - notching one goal and one assist.
The Stars return to the Ice Box for the 20th Anniversary Season on Friday, September 25th at 7:05 p.m. against the Des Moines Buccaneers. View the complete 2015-2016 schedule here. Reserve season tickets or stay up to date with the latest ticket information by calling the Ice Box at 402-474-7827.
