Riders Mourn the Passing of Stanley Williams

The Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of former Roughrider player Stanley Williams.
Stanley joined the Riders in 1953 after playing four seasons at Baylor University. He was known to use his great speed through his five seasons with the Green and White, and became a standout on offence and defense. Along with being a stellar defensive back, Williams was named to the 1954 Western All-Star team as an offensive end.
He was inducted into the Plaza of Honor in 1996.
Stan passed away on Sunday, September 13th in Waco, Texas. He was 85.
