(Peterborough, ON)- The Peterborough Petes CCM Mentorship Program got underway for the third consecutive season on Monday night. In the program, Petes players attend local minor hockey practices to assist in the development of young athletes.

On Monday, September 14, veteran Josh Maguire and Zach Gallant, the Petes' top selection in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection, spent time with the Peterborough Minor AAA Novice Petes team, helping run drills and working one-on-one and in groups with players and coaches.

The program continues this week on Wednesday, September 16 from 7 to 8pm at the Evinrude Centre as Dylan Wells and Logan DeNoble work with the Peterborough Minor Atom AAA Petes. Members of the media are encouraged to attend and interview members of the Minor Petes organization as well as Petes players.

"The Petes CCM Mentorship Program is very exciting, as it allows Petes players to engage with minor hockey participants and also helps to grow Canada's game in Peterborough," added Matt D'Agostini, Petes Marketing and Community Events Coordinator.

The Petes pre-season continues at home against the Hamilton Bulldogs on Thursday, September 17 at 7:05pm. Tickets are available here for Monday's game, or by calling (705) 743-3561. In addition, all Petes pre-season games will be broadcast live on the PetesOHLhockey YouTube channel.
