Long Island Ducks News Release

(Central Islip, N.Y., Sept. 13, 2015) - Saturday's (September 12) game between the Long Island Ducks and Sugar Land Skeeters at Bethpage Ballpark has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Saturday's (9/12) game will be made up as part of a single admission doubleheader on Sunday, September 13 featuring two seven-inning games. Game time for the opener is slated for 1:35 p.m., with the Bethpage Ballpark gates opening at 12:35 (12:20 for full season ticket holders). Game two will begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of game one. Right-hander John Brownell will get the start for the Ducks in the opener against Skeeters righty Josh Geer. Right-hander Ian Marshall takes the mound in game two for Long Island against Sugar Land lefty Kelvin Villa.

Tickets to Saturday's (9/12) game can be exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value to Sunday's doubleheader against the Skeeters. In addition, they may be exchanged for any 2015 Ducks home playoff game or any Ducks home game in May of 2016. All tickets must be exchanged at the Bethpage Ballpark box office.

Sunday is Fan Appreciation Day at the Duck Pond featuring the Great Gift Card Giveaway, presented by Pepsi. Throughout the game, the Ducks will be announcing one lucky seat during every inning. If that's your seat, you will win a gift card to a select Long Island restaurant. It will also be the final Sunday Family Funday of the season at the ballpark. Prior to game one, fans will be invited onto the field for an autograph session with the Ducks from 12:50 to 1:05. In between games, kids and kids at heart can take part in Kids Run the Bases, presented by Bethpage Federal Credit Union.

Tickets to the doubleheader and all Ducks home games are available by visiting the Bethpage Ballpark box office, calling (631) 940-TIXX. Those unable to make the twinbill can follow all the action live on Ducks' official YouTube channel. Streaming video and audio will be available online.
