Barrie, ON- Barrie Colts General Manager & Head Scout Jason Ford announced today that they have completed a trade with the Kitchener Rangers.

The Colts acquire a 15th round pick in 2016 (Kitchener's) from the Rangers in exchange for left-winger Jacob Tortora.

The deal also involves conditional draft choices based upon the following conditions:

*Should Tortora play his first OHL game in the 2015-16, 2016-17 or 2017-18 seasons, the Barrie Colts would receive the Kitchener Rangers 2nd round picks in 2020, 2021, & 2022.

*If Tortora plays his first OHL game in the 2018-19 season, the Barrie Colts would receive Kitchener's 2nd round picks in 2021 & 2022.

Tortora, 16, was the Colts 1st round draft pick (19th overall) in the 2015 OHL Priority selection. The Victor, NY, USA native spent last season with the Don Mills Flyers Min. Midget AAA team where he recorded 31 goals and 68 points in 52 games played.
