Revs and Patriots Washed out in Series Finale
September 10, 2015 - Atlantic League (AtL)
York Revolution News Release
Thursday night's scheduled contest between the York Revolution and Somerset Patriots at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater, NJ has been postponed due to rain. A time and date for a makeup game has yet to be announced.
The game was slated to be a series rubber match, as the Revs had won Tuesday's opener, 7-0 before dropping Wednesday's meeting by a 6-2 final. The loss snapped a season-high-tying five-game winning streak for the Revs, who are 4.5 games back in the Freedom Division's second half with a record of 33-25.
Thursday's postponement marks the Revs' fifth rainout of the season and first since June 27.
York's road trip will continue on Friday night at Southern Maryland. Friday's series opening date includes the resumption of a game that was suspended due to rain on August 20 at Regency Furniture Stadium. The game will resume, tied 1-1 at the beginning of the sixth inning with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. The regularly scheduled nine-inning contest will follow with lefty Rommie Lewis (9-10, 4.01) making the start for the Revolution. Revs fans can catch the action live on SportsRadio 1350, woyk1350.com, and on the WOYK mobile apps beginning at 6 p.m. with Darrell Henry on the call.
