Mammoth Announces 2016 Schedule

September 8, 2015 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER - John Grant, Jr., the active leader in NLL history in goals scored, Adam Jones, the goals-per-game leader a season ago, and the Colorado Mammoth will open the 2016 season on New Year's Day (Fri., Jan. 1 at 7:30pm MT) on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center against the Georgia Swarm. It's one of eight home games that will be played on a Friday or Saturday.

The defending NLL champion Saskatchewan Rush pays two visits to Pepsi Center in 2016, the first on Feb. 11 in Colorado's only Thursday night affair. Later that month, the Mammoth hosts its lone matinee of the season on Sat., Feb. 27 against the Vancouver Stealth at 3pm. The game will be the first of a downtown doubleheader for Colorado professional sports, with the Avalanche hosting the Red Wings at Coors Field that evening.

"Everyone wants to say they were part of sports history, and February 27 will be an opportunity to do just that," said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. "This will be a celebration of Colorado sports!"

The nine-game home schedule features seven different opponents, and includes the New England Black Wolves' first trip to 'The Loudest House in Lacrosse' on Sat., Mar. 5.

Season ticket memberships are on sale now and start at just $80. Membership includes tickets to all nine regular-season home games and the first home playoff game.
