Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons face the Pawtucket Red Sox in the second game of a three-game set at McCoy Stadium (6:05 p.m.). Buffalo has lost seven straight games and 16 of their last 19 since August 17. The 2015 regular season concludes on Monday afternoon against the PawSox.

vs. the Red Sox

The Bisons are 8-7 against the PawSox this year, including a 5-2 record at McCoy Stadium. Buffalo needs one win over the next two days to pick up the season series victory over Pawtucket. It would be their first season win over the PawSox since 2008 (10-6). Buffalo was 6-10 against Pawtucket last season.

Todd Redmond

RHP TODD REDMOND will make his 10th start of the season tonight. The righty has worked six innings or more in each of his last four starts, but is just 1-3 in that span despite a 3.32 ERA. In his last start against Pawtucket on August 27, Redmond allowed just one run in six innings in a 1-0 PawSox win.

MattVP

International League MVP INF MATT HAGUE picked up a two-run single last night for his 176th hit on the season. The total is five shy SS Jhonny Peralta's (2014) Bisons record of 181 hits. Hague also became the first Bisons player to reach 90 RBI in a season since DH Valentino Pascucci drove in 91 in 2011. Hague also leads the IL in average (.341), on-base pct. (.417) and total bases (243) and 3rd in slugging pct. (471).

Andy Burns

INF ANDY BURNS is putting the wraps on a stellar Triple-A rookie season. He now has 135 hits on the season, tied for the 7th most in the International League this year. If not for Matt Hague's MVP season, Burns' 135 hits would be the most for a Bison since OF Jesus Feliciano had 154 hits in 2009. Burns ranks 12th in the IL with a .288 average.

Bisons Bits

RHP BOBBY KORECKY is second on the Bisons modern era list in both appearances (125) and saves (29). He is just one save shy of RHP Fernando Cabrera's team record...Since the All-Star Break, OF ALEX HASSAN has averaged .314 with 11 doubles and 19 RBI...RHP BEN ROWEN has allowed runs in just one of 14 outings with the Bisons (18.0 IP)...RHP MARCUS STROMAN is scheduled continue his rehab from an torn ACL in his left knee by starting for the Herd on Monday.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (77-58) picked up the 5-1 win over the Orioles on Saturday. David Price struck out eight in seven innings of one-run baseball and Jose Bautista hit his 32nd home run of the season. Rubbermatch of the three-game set from Rogers Centre is today at 1:07 p.m.
