The Moose Jaw Warriors opened the scoring in the final game of the Rookie at the 4:01 mark of the first. Moose Jaw's Ryan Bowen (1 G) beat Pat's goaltender Tyler Brown to give his team a 1-0 lead with help from Jiri Smejkal (1 A). The Warriors added to their lead on a goal from Dustin Perrillat (1 G) who got an assist from Ryan Bowen (1 G, 1 A) making it 2-0 Moose Jaw. Regina opened up scoring in the second period with a goal from Rykr Cole (1 G) at 6:29 in period two. Assists to Jake Leschyshyn (1 A) and Eric Gardner (1 A) making it 2-1 for the visitors. Moose Jaw answered back about a minute later when Ryan Bowen (2 G, 1 A) added his second goal of the night to give the Warriors a 3-1 lead with help from Colin Paradis (1 A). At the 16:27 mark of the second the Pats pulled to within one when James Hilsendager (1 G) scored a power play goal to make it 3-2. He was assisted by Luc Smith (1 A) and Colton Kroeker (1 A). There was plenty of shots on goal in the period with the Warriors putting up 20 and the Pats 14. In the third period the Warriors scored three goals getting two from Dustin Perillat (3) on the power play. Jiri Smijkal (1 G, 2 A) added another to win the game 6-2. Quick Hits -The Regina Pats next pre-season action is Friday, September 11 when they visit the Brandon Wheat Kings. The two teams will return to the Cooperators Arena on Saturday, September 12 to complete the home at home. -Four members of the Blue and White will leave for NHL training camps this week.
