Legends Win 7-5 on Vallot's Walk-Off HR in 10th

Chase Vallot hit a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the 10th inning, giving the Lexington Legends a 7-5 win over the Hagerstown Suns Saturday afternoon at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
Vallot's homer came with two outs in the inning. Brandon Downes had walked with one out.
The Suns took a 3-0 lead in the second inning on doubles by D.K. Carey, Jeff Gardner, Adderling Ruiz and Osvaldo Abreu. Lexington scored a run in the third inning on a double by Brian Bien, a ground out by Alexis Rivera and a single by Luis Villegas. The Legends caught up with two runs in the fifth, one coming on a solo homer by Michael Hill, but Ruiz' solo homer in the sixth put Hagerstown ahead 4-3.
A triple by Abreu and a ground out by Bryan Mejia in the seventh gave the Suns a 5-3 lead, but the Legends tied the game again in the bottom of the seventh on solo homers by Rivera and Austin Bailey. The score remained 5-5 until Vallot's homer in the 10th.
Brennan Henry (2-3) got the win in relief for Lexington. Deion Williams (1-2) was the losing pitcher.
The Legends have won two out of three in the five-game series, which continues Sunday. Game time is 2:05 p.m.
