Looking to finish the season above .500 on the road entering Friday's game, the Scrappers dropped Friday night's game 5-1 to the Doubledays at Falcon Park.

The Doubledays jumped on Jared Robinson early. They got a run in the bottom of the first on a sacrifice fly for Rhett Wiseman to score Victor Robles.

In the bottom of the third, Max Schrock scored on a passed ball for Daniel Salters. Kelvin Gutierrez swung at the pitch, and reached first on a dropped third strike. Schrock had reached earlier on a triple and scored Jorge Tillero on the triple.

Auburn got two more in the fourth. Gutierrez smashed a double to center to score Tillero and Robles.

The Scrappers got a run in the top of the eighth on an RBI double for Mark Mathias to score Ka'ai Tom.

Robinson took the loss and falls to 2-4 in his last start of the season. Robinson only lasted four innings an he gave up nine hits, which tied his season high. Robinson allowed five runs, but four of them earned. He struck out one. Henry Martinez then went four innings and allowed just two hits.

The Scrappers head back to Niles for a three-game series with the Black Bears to finish off the season. Kieran Lovegrove gets the start at 7:05 on Saturday night at Eastwood Field. Saturday is Fan Appreciation Night, presented by King's Sanitary Service, Ohio Intra Express Inc, and post game fireworks presented by 21 WFMJ and WBCB, and Y-103.
