The Mudcats continue their final road trip of the season with game one of a four game series in Lynchburg tonight at Calvin Falwell Field in Lynchburg. Carolina leads the season series 6-4 and last played in Lynchburg between 4/28 and 4/30 earlier this season. Carolina's LHP Yean Carlos Gil heads to the mound tonight for the series opening start. He last pitched on 8/29 against this same Hillcats squad and turned in one of his finer performances of the season after holding Lynchburg to two runs and five hits over a (Carolina League) season high eight innings pitched. Gil suffered the loss his last time out after the Mudcats were nearly no-hit by Jayson Aquino and the Hillcats. Aquino is scheduled to start tonight for Lynchburg.
Tonight's game begins at 6:30 p.m. at Calvin Falwell Field in Lynchburg, VA and will air on the Mudcats Radio Network with the pre game show beginning at 6:15 p.m.
