Rohm activated off the DL; Kleinknecht returns to Triple-A Gwinnett

PEARL, MS -- Mississippi Braves outfielder David Rohm has been activated off the disabled list. In corresponding moves, utility player Barrett Kleinknecht has been transferred to Triple-A Gwinnett from Double-A Mississippi.

Rohm, 25, had been on the DL since August 11. He is hitting .261 with 13 extra-base hits and 28 RBI through 96 games with the M-Braves this season. He posted his best numbers in April, hitting .310 in 18 contests. Through eight games in August, Rohm was hitting .333. He spent all of last season with the Double-A Braves, hitting .255 in 114 games. The California native was selected by the Braves in the ninth round of the 2010 draft out of Fresno City College.

Kleinknecht, 27, joined the M-Braves on August 20. He hit .257 in 10 games with the Double-A club. He has a .187 average with 11 extra-base hits in 79 games with the G-Braves. The utility player hit .280 with 31 extra-base hits in 100 games with the Double-A Braves last season. A native of Florence, SC, Kleinknecht was selected by the Braves in the 12th round of the 2010 draft out of Francis Marion University. He spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons at Double-A Mississippi, hitting .219 and .238 respectively.

The Mississippi roster has 25 active players, 1 disabled and 1 suspended.
