Pigs Look to Even Series with Chiefs

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will try to even their series with the Syracuse Chiefs on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is slated for 1:05 p.m. at NBT Bank Stadium.

RHP Sean O'Sullivan (3-2, 3.86) takes the hill for the Pigs on Sunday. O'Sullivan got the win on Tuesday vs. Buffalo when he gave up three runs on eight hits to go along with four strikeouts in seven innings of work. The San Diego native will be making his second start of the year against Syracuse. On August 11 at NBT Bank Stadium, the Chiefs tagged O'Sullivan for four runs on four hits in 6.0 IP and he was dealt the loss.

RHP A.J. Cole (5-5, 3.18) gets the ball for Syracuse. The right-hander earned the win on Tuesday vs. Rochester after surrendering one run (none earned) on three hits while walking one and fanning seven over 6.2 IP. In fact, Cole has allowed one earned run or less in each of his last five starts. In those five starts, the Winter Springs, Fla. native is 4-0 with a 0.84 ERA.

In 15 games this month, Pigs C Erik Kratz has hit .302-3-11 with five doubles, a stolen base and seven runs scored.
