Blazers Ink Defenseman Luke Zazula

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have signed 15-year-old defenseman Luke Zazula to a standard WHL contract.

Zazula was selected by the Blazers in the fourth round of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. The Surrey, BC native had 11 points in 17 games this past season playing with the Delta Bantam Prep team.

The 5'8" and 155lb defenseman has also been shortlisted by Team B.C. for the U-16 Western Canadian Challenge Cup.

"Luke is a skilled defenseman that we are very excited about," commented Director of Player Personnel, Matt Recchi. "His compete level is high and he is a very good skater. We look forward to watching his development and believe he will be an impactful player for us down the road."
