August 29, 2015 - Pioneer League (PL)
Northern Colorado Owlz News Release

OGDEN- The Orem Owlz entered Friday night at Ogden, looking to steal the first game of four in the I-15 rivalry between two local teams from the Beehive state. The Owlz were also looking to bounce back from last night's loss in Grand Junction, but the home team in the Ogden Raptors put on a performance for their near sell-out crowd in attendance with fireworks on the field from their team and fireworks after the game in their 14-6 win over the Owlz.

The night started out with the Raptors scoring the first three runs of the night in the third inning of play, they also held the Owlz hitless for three inning of play. Despite being down three runs early, the Owlz fought their way back into the game as they evened the score at 3 in the top of the fifth inning, but the Raptors scored eight runs in the bottom of the fifth which included a grand slam home run that put the Owlz in a huge hole that they couldn't climb out of.

The Owlz had six different pitchers on the mound in the loss and even brought in their catcher Angel Genao who threw a strikeout during his time on the mound, that's the kind of night it was for the Owlz.

The same two teams will meet tomorrow night as the Owlz will look to avoid a three game streak overall and two the team from up North from Salt Lake City.
