DB Kellem to Return to the Rattlers for Two More Seasons

Phoenix, Ariz. - The 5x world champion Arizona Rattlers have been assigned defensive back Jeremy Kellem for the 2016 and 2017 Arena Football League (AFL) seasons. This will be Kellem's third season with the Arizona Rattlers, his fourth in the AFL.

Kellem took his play to another level during the 2015 season. He had a career high 14 interceptions, number one in the league. Kellem also led the league in passes defended with 48. Kellem led the Rattlers in tackles with 95.5 and fumble recoveries with 4. His efforts earned him first team All-Arena honors, as well as the Go RVing Defensive Back of the Year award. Kellem also received second team All-Arena honors during his rookie season in 2012.

The 5-foot-9, 195-pound Kellem attended Middle Tennessee State where he was a three-time All-Sun Belt Conference player earning First Team honors his junior and senior seasons. Kellem was also named to the ESPN Academic All-American Second Team in 2010.

The North Lauderdale, Florida native attended Deerfield Beach High School, where he was named the Defensive MVP at the North-South All-Star game. Kellem lettered in both football and basketball.
