Chiefs G.M. Jason Smorol to Appear in Dunk Tank on Monday

August 27, 2015 - International League (IL1)
Syracuse Mets News Release

On the night of Monday, August 31st, Chiefs general manager Jason Smorol will sit in a "dunk tank" during the Chiefs' 7:05 game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Smorol will be in the dunk tank, located in the Family Fun Park beyond the right-field wall, from 7:15 to 8 p.m.

"I want to know just how good our fans' arms are", said Smorol. "This is a chance for the people of Syracuse to make a little money for charity - and to finally shut me up after they've been forced to listen to my shtick before every game this year! Bring it on and let's have some fun!"

Fans can purchase three throws for $5 in an attempt to dunk Smorol underwater. All proceeds from the dunk tank on Monday will go directly to the Syracuse Chiefs Charitable Foundation.

Monday night's game is the penultimate BlueRock Energy Social Media Monday of the year. Fans can win special prizes and take part in special promotions by checking the Chiefs' Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages before the game.

Family Four Packs are also still available for all Monday games. A family of four can purchase a $44 Four Pack and receive a $75 value - four reserve box tickets, four Hofmann hot dogs, four medium Coca-Cola soft drinks and one tub of popcorn. $11 single packs, which go toward a ticket, hot dog and drink, are also available.

Tickets for Monday's game and all six remaining Chiefs home games are available and can be purchased online at syracusechiefs.com, by calling 315-474-7833 or by visiting the NBT Bank Stadium ticket office during regular business hours.
