ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, have announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Matt Hatch for the 2015-16 season.

Hatch, 25, spent the majority of the 2014-15 campaign - his first professional season - with the Reading Royals, posting 15 points (9g-6a) and 14 penalty minutes in 39 games. He also appeared in two matches with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL.

Prior to turning pro, Hatch completed a four-year career from 2010-14 with Union College, where he helped the Dutchmen capture the NCAA Championship in his senior year. In 148 career games with Union, the 5-foot-11, 191-pound forward tallied 73 points (34g-39a) and 108 penalty minutes.

The Solar Bears begin their 2015-16 regular season at the Amway Center for the second straight year when they take on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
