Moncton Wildcats News Release

MONCTON N.B. - The Moncton Wildcats welcome Sacha Guay to training camp, as he joins the team today.

A native of Laval, Quebec, the nineteen year old defenceman was recently signed by the Moncton Wildcats as a free agent from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. Sacha played 27 games last year when he joined the Huskies for the second half of their season. "Sacha brings experience to our defense group; we are simply exploring options, and want to see all players a little more before we move forward with a set roster prior to the start of the season, which is still a few weeks away" said Director of Hockey Operations, Roger Shannon.

As of today the following players are still at camp:

Goaltenders: Sébastien Dupré, Zachary Fortin

Forwards: Zack MacEwen, Cameron Askew, Conor Garland, Manuel Wiederer, Kelly Klima, Kevin Klima, Lane Cormier, Liam Murpy, William Bower, Kyle Tibbo, Noah Corson, Éric Léger, Stephen Johnson, Will Smith, Ethan Crossman, Bronson Beaton

Defense: Jacob Sweeney, Maximillan Glassl, Adam Holwell, Zachary Malatesta, Garrett Johnston, Matthew Klebanskyj, Sacha Guay, Marcus Tesink, Brendan Bornstein

This now brings our training camp roster back up to 27 players. The team will head to Harbour Station tomorrow night for their preseason game against the Sea Dogs at 7:00 p.m. Then we will play host on Friday night in Bouchtouche at 7:00 p.m. for the last game of this doubleheader. For tickets please call 506-743-7471.
