Vancouver Giants News Release
Vancouver, B.C. - Shato Holdings, the Majority Owners of Tsawwassen Springs, along with Michael Bublé, Bruce Allen, Talisman Homes and Sandra Quinn announced Vancouver's next great restaurant, Pat Quinn's Restaurant & Bar, at Tsawwassen Springs on Tuesday.
The new restaurant, which will honour the Big Irishman, is set to open this coming fall at Tsawwassen Springs.
"There's Sinatra's at Wynn's in Vegas, Arnold Palmer's in Palm Springs, Don Shula's in Miami, and these are great restaurants that acknowledge these guys for the icons they are in their communities," said Ron Toigo, Managing Director of Shato Holdings. "Pat Quinn was second to none in this community. He knew a lot about hockey and building a team both in an office and on the ice. Pat also knew a great restaurant, having eaten at a lot of the best ones around the world. We talked about this with Pat, and creating a restaurant with exceptional food and ambience that everyone will feel comfortable at was something he was passionate about. We will capture a lot of Pat's accomplishments, and it will all be done in a very classy manner. There's a lot to cover about the man, his community he cared so much about, and his favourite thing after hockey: going out to a really good restaurant."
"Pat was more than a partner in Tsawwassen Springs, he felt like part of my family," said Michael Bublé. "This is a wonderful way to remember Pat and his legacy. I know this is going to be a great place to eat, but I can't wait to see it finished this fall."
"Pat was great friend that I really enjoyed being around," said Bruce Allen. "We have been partners in a number of ventures with Ron over the years, and we ate at a lot of great restaurants, so we all know a quality restaurant when we eat at one. Ron's hiring of Steve Halliday, who has opened a number of Vancouver's best restaurants, was a stroke of genius. I have no doubt that Steve's mandate to deliver another one will be realized. When the doors are opened at Pat Quinn's Restaurant & Bar, it will be apparent to everyone that the Big Irishman would have been right at home."
"Pat Quinn's Restaurant & Bar is a classic West Coast grill, offering comforting, high-quality fare with today's best culinary inspiration, and delivered with absolutely impeccable service," said General Manager of Tsawwassen Springs Steve Halliday. "This is a place to honour the man and the legend, and enjoy a refined atmosphere with all the class and passion he brought to the game. It's the perfect complement to Tsawwassen's newest classic neighborhood, Tsawwassen Springs."
