Alaska Aces News Release

ANCHORAGE, AK- The Alaska Aces are pleased to announce the signing of two more players for the 2015-16 season.

Head coach Rob Murray announced Tuesday that forward Justin Breton and defenseman Mitch Jones have agreed to contracts.

Breton, 26, returns to Alaska after a rookie season that saw the Fitchburg, MA native score 10 goals and add 10 assists for 20 points. In 50 regular season games, he recieved only 4 minutes in penalty time.

"Justin could be one of the fastest players in the league," said Murray. "Scoring-wise he started slowly last season, but really came on late. He will be a key contributor."

Jones, 20, comes to Alaska from Plymouth in the Ontario Hockey League. The 5' 11", 190 lb. Rochester, MI native scored 9 goals and had 9 assists for 18 points in 58 games for the Whalers. He was the most penalized player in the OHL, amassing 157 minutes in penalty time last season.

"Mitch is a hard-nosed defender who also has some offensive upside," said Murray. He plays bigger than his size, and brings a bit of nasty to the game."

Alaska opens training camp Friday, October 2, with exhibition games scheduled for Monday, October 12 and Tuesday, October 13 against Missouri.

The Alaska Aces 2015-16 season is just around the corner! Season tickets are available now, and don't forget partial plans are also on sale. Get the details at alaskaaces.com/tickets.
