NEWS AND NOTES

ROUND TWO ON TUESDAY : Tonight the Sea Dogs and New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate) square off for game two of their three-game series at Hadlock Field. New Hampshire took the opener last night 8-4. The Fisher Cats have won 10 of 17 games against the Sea Dogs thus far in their 23-game season series.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT : New Hampshire took a 5-0 lead off of Sea Dogs starter Justin Haley before Portland rallied back in the bottom of the sixth with four runs off Fisher Cats starter Conner Greene. Portland sent nine men to the plate in the sixth and scored four runs on three hits, the Fisher Cats also committed one error that led to an unearned run. John Anderson and Gregory Infante held the Sea Dogs scoreless the rest of the way and allowed just one hit as the 'Cats added three more runs to pull away with an 8-4 victory.
