August 23, 2015 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

Colorado Springs starter Josh Roenicke held the El Paso Chihuahuas to one run in 5.2 innings Sunday, as the Sky Sox beat the Chihuahuas 3-2. It was the first time Colorado Springs has ever played at Southwest University Park in El Paso.

The Chihuahuas struck first when Hunter Renfroe hit a solo home run off the center field batter's eye in the bottom of the first inning. Renfroe has three homers in his first five Triple-A games. Colorado Springs went ahead in the fifth on a two-out, two-strike, two-run single by Kyle Wren.

Trailing 3-1, the Chihuahuas made it a one-run game on Jake Goebbert's eighth-inning sacrifice fly, his 55th RBI of the season. The Chihuahuas went down in order in the bottom of the ninth.

Recently acquired reliever Jon Edwards struck out three in a scoreless ninth inning in his Padres organizational debut. First place Las Vegas won in New Orleans Sunday, dropping the Chihuahuas to 1.5 games out of first place with 16 games remaining.
