Offence Barks Loudly in Victory over Wildcats

SAINT JOHN - Matthew Highmore scored twice and linemate Matt Green added a goal and two assists to lead the Saint John Sea Dogs to a 7-3 victory over the Moncton Wildcats in QMJHL preseason action Saturday at Harbour Station.

Adam Marsh found the net for Saint John (3-1) on his 18th birthday while Samuel Dove-McFalls, Joe Veleno and Daniel Del Paggio chipped in with a goal each.

The Sea Dogs piled up five goals in the second period to take over on the scoreboard.

Zack MacEwen, Cameron Askew and Matthew Klebanskyj replied for Moncton (2-1).

Alex Bishop picked up the win in goal in relief, allowing only two goals on 19 shots in just under thirty minutes of work. Starter Marc-Antoine Turcotte gave up one goal on 19 shots in the first half of the game.

Sebastien Dupre was tagged with the loss in the Moncton goal after allowing six goals on 19 shots in the first two periods. Overager Zachary Fortin allowed one goal on 15 shots in the third period.

The Sea Dogs' next preseason game is Thursday, August 27th, at 7 p.m. against Moncton at Harbour Station. It's Saint John's final home game of the preseason. Tickets are available at the Harbour Station Box Office, online at harbourstation.ca or by calling 657-1234.
