Fireworks, Superheroes & Giveaways at Classic Park

The Captains will begin a seven-game home stand on Friday, August 21, its second-to-last set of games during the 2015 regular season.

West Michigan (DET) will be in town for a four-game series, including a double-header, over the weekend and on Monday, the Dayton Dragons (CIN) will make their way to Classic Park for a three-game series. The home stand concludes on Wednesday, August 26.

The home stand commences on Friday with Superhero Night when the Captains will be wearing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (TMNT) jerseys which will be auctioned off to benefit Captains Charities. Fans can bid on the jerseys throughout the game and receive them from the player wearing them after the game on the field. West Michigan will be donning Shredder Jerseys as part of the promotion. Limited Shredder jerseys will be auctioned during the game. The remaining jerseys can be purchased on-line at CargoHoldStore.com. Various superheroes will be in attendance for the game to entertain and take photos with fans.

Friday is also a Friday Fireworks Night, presented by CPR Cell Phone Repair. The fireworks will be set to Super Hero-themed music. After the game, the local band Digital Output will be performing. Gates will open at 5 PM and the first pitch will follow at 7 PM.

Saturday's Irish Heritage Night is a double-header beginning at 6 PM and will feature Irish music, dancing, trivia, cuisine and even green beer. Both games will be seven innings long, with the second contest starting approximately 30 minutes after the first one concludes.

On Saturday, the first 1,500 fans will receive a clear stadium bag presented by Lake Health. Gates open at 4:30 PM and following the second game, a spectacular post-game fireworks show will light up the sky, presented by Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The fireworkswill feature an Irish Rock soundtrack as part of the evening's theme.

Sunday is a 1:30 PM start with Family Fun Sunday, including a pre-game player autograph session, concourse entertainment and activities, and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game, presented by Moe's Southwest Grill in Mentor.

Bark in the Park, presented by The Barkley Pet Hotel and Day Spa, returns to Classic Park on Sunday, providing an opportunity for fans to bring their canine friends to the ballpark. Dog owners can purchase $5 pooch passes for these games, from which a portion of the proceeds will benefit local animal charities. Gates will open at 12:30 PM.

Monday, August 24, is Buck Night and will feature $1 Five Star Brand Hot Dogs, soda and domestic draft beer and $1 off a box seat ticket. Game time is 7PM. Tuesday's first pitch is scheduled for 7PM and Wednesday's game is a special 1PM start, with gates opening at noon.

The Captains and Classic Park are proud to welcome back "The Border Battle at Classic Park" on Friday, October 2, 2015, featuring the Eastlake North Rangers against the Willoughby South Rebels in what is always the most anticipated High School Football game of the year between these teams from the Willoughby-Eastlake School system. The game will be played at 7 PM, with gates opening at 5:30 PM.

The game returns to Classic Park after a two-year hiatus following the inaugural game in 2012, the first-ever football game played at Classic Park.

Following the game, a spectacular fireworks show will take place in the skies above Classic Park, presented by Tom Schaefer Plumbing & EZPOLE Flagpoles.

Reserved Grandstand tickets are $8 in advance and $10 on the day of the game. Students at both schools will be able to purchase a limited number of Student Section tickets in advance for only $5 at their respective schools only. All tickets sold for the game will be for designated North or South sections inside the stadium. General Admission grass berm seating will be just $5.

Both schools will be offering VIP party packages that include preferred seating near the middle of the field, and a pre-game all-you-can-eat picnic buffet for only $40.

A limited number of Party Suites, which sold out quickly prior to the 2012 game, are available for $700, which includes 20 game tickets, seating in the climate-controlled Party Suite level of Classic Park and a $200 food credit.
