3-1 Loss Completes Three-Game Sweep of Nuts

Visalia, CA. - A quiet offensive night sunk the Modesto Nuts in their 3-1 loss to the Visalia Rawhide on Wednesday night at Recreation Park.

The Nuts (62-60; 29-23) had seven hits but scored just one run on Wilson Soriano's seventh-inning single. Anthony Banda started the game for the Rawhide (75-47; 33-19) and tossed three scoreless innings before being removed to limit his innings. The Rawhide trotted out four relievers that combined to allow just one run over the final six innings.

Nick Sarianides (S, 21/28) tossed around an error with two strikeouts to lock down the Rawhide win.

Antonio Senzatela (L, 8-7) threw six innings and allowed just two runs. One on a solo homer to Daniel Palka. Gerson Montilla scored in the fifth on a throwing error. Senzatela struck out six and walked three while allowing four hits.
