Huntsville Havoc News Release

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville Havoc head coach Glenn Detulleo announced today returning forward Bobby Barrett and defenseman Danny Fick have both signed tryout agreements.

Barrett (5-10, 180) played in 13 games for the Havoc last season after finishing his college career at Lake Forest College. The Grosse Pointe, Michigan native scored one goal and recorded two assists for the Havoc. In 97 games at Lake Forest, he scored 37 goals and recorded 40 assists.

"Bobby came in late last year and had the opportunity to get his feet wet at the pro level," Detulleo said. "He knows what it takes to succeed and with a good summer of preparation he'll be in a great position to earn a roster spot."

"I'm thrilled to be returning to the Huntsville Havoc," Barrett said. "We have a great group of guys returning who have worked hard all summer and are committed to succeeding."

Fick (5-11, 180) played in 24 games last season in Norway where he recorded one assist. The Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota native played in 96 games at Harvard from 2010-2014 where he scored one goal and recorded eight assists.

"Danny came highly recommended from a former Havoc player," Detulleo said. "His skating ability and compete level are his strongest attributes. With a year of pro hockey already under his belt I expect Danny to come in and make a strong statement."

"I've heard great things from former players that Huntsville is a great place to be, and I want to thank the organization for the opportunity," Fick said. "I am excited for what will hopefully be a successful season with the Havoc."

The Havoc open the season on the road on October 23rd at Columbus. The home opener on Pharmacy First Ice will be November 10th against Knoxville.
