Luis Valenzuela had four hits in four at bats, including a home run, and Foster Griffin picked up his second straight win as the Lexington Legends took a 4-2 win over the West Virginia Power Monday night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The win ended the Legends' losing streak at five games.

Lexington took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Samir Duenez singled, stole second and scored on a base hit by Michael Hill. The Power tied the game in the third on a single by Tyler Filliben, a sacrifice by Kevin Newman and a single by Jordan Luplow.

Corey Toups led off the bottom of the third with his seventh home run of the season, giving the Legends a 2-1 lead, and Valenzuela homered with the bases empty in the fourth.

The Legends increased the lead to 4-1 in the sixth when Hill doubled, went to third on a single by Valenzuela and scored on a single by Austin Bailey.

West Virginia came back with a run in the eighth. Luplow drew a leadoff walk, stole second and came home on Jerrick Suiter's two-out single to right field.

Filliben singled with two outs in the ninth inning, but Jake Newberry struck out Newman to end the game.

Torey Deshazier allowed one run in three innings of relief, and Newberry pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his fifth save.
