Screaming Eagles Release Five Players From Training Camp

Sydney - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced today that they have released five more players from their training camp roster including three forwards and two defensemen.

Defensemen released were 19-year-old Lee Dower (96/04/26) and 16-year-old Connor Macleod (99/07/18). Among the three forwards released were a pair of 18-year-olds Emanuel Proulx (97/08/08) and Dominic O'Halloran (97/09/29), while 17-year-old David Caza (98/09/08) was also released.

Additionally, the Screaming Eagles made one trade today on the final day of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League trading period by trading free agent Vincent Ouellet-Beaudry (97/03/07) to the Rimouski Oceanic for defensemen Jacob Vance (97-01-01).

The Screaming Eagles training camp roster currently sits at 28 players including 15 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders.

The Screaming Eagles will resume their pre-season schedule this Friday night in Charlottetown when they face the Charlottetown Islanders. The Screaming Eagles will play their next home pre-season game at the Emera Centre Northside on Sunday, August 23rd, at 4pm against the Halifax Mooseheads. It is the fifth year that the Screaming Eagles will play a game at the Emera Centre Northside and once again a portion of ticket sales from the game will be directed to the Civic Centre Society. Tickets are $10 and are available at the Emera Centre box office and Centre 200 box office.
