Carruth Re-Signs for 2015-16 Season

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs announced Monday that they have agreed to terms with goalie Mac Carruth on a one-year American Hockey League contract for the 2015-16 season.

Carruth, 23, appeared in three regular season games for the IceHogs in 2014-15, posting a 2-1-0-0 record including his first career AHL shutout on Nov. 23 against the Chicago Wolves. The second year netminder showed a 1.69 goals against average and .925 save percentage in his three starts for Rockford.

The Jackson, Wyo. native primarily spent the 2014-15 campaign between the pipes for the IceHogs ECHL affiliate, Indy Fuel. Carruth racked up a 17-13-2-7 record with a 2.55 goals against average and .914 save percentage with Indy.

The netminder manned the net in seven games for the IceHogs in 2013-14, posting a 2-2-1 record with a 3.36 GAA and .880 SV%.

Carruth was drafted by the Blackhawks in the seventh round (#191 overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
