Hitmen Announce 2015 Training Camp Schedule

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club will begin their 21st season in the Western Hockey League when they kick off their 2015 Training Camp on Thursday, August 27 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Over 130 prospects and veterans are expected to attend the six-day camp that will include fitness testing, goalie development and on-ice practices and games.

All on-ice training camp sessions are free and open to the public.

The camp will be highlighted by the annual Calgary Hitmen Intra-Squad game which will be held on Tuesday, September 1 at 7 p.m. The contest will be hosted by the Calgary Canucks and played at the Max Bell Centre. Adult tickets are $5 and child tickets $2 with all proceeds supporting the AJHL's Calgary Canucks.

The 2015 Hitmen Training Camp will take place at three separate venues; Scotiabank Saddledome, Don Hartman North East Sportsplex (5206 - 68 Street NE) and Max Bell Centre (1001 Barlow Trail SE) as outlined in the schedules below.

Note: All ice sessions are subject to change. Media will be notified accordingly. Rosters will be available at each training camp venue.

The Hitmen will then open their seven-game exhibition schedule on Thursday, September 3 in Regina against the Pats. The schedule also features the first-ever pre-season game at the Scotiabank Saddledome when the Hitmen host the Edmonton Oil Kings on Sunday, September 13 in a 4:00 p.m. start. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for kids 12 and under (plus applicable fees) and will go on sale at all Ticketmaster locations and the Scotiabank Saddledome box office on Wednesday, August 26 at 10 a.m.

Calgary will then begin their 72-game 2015-16 regular season schedule with a home-and-home series against the Kootenay ICE. It begins on Friday, September 25 in Cranbrook before returning to the Scotiabank Saddledome for the Adrenalin Source for Sports Home Opener on Saturday, September 26. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
