Braves Top Legends 3-1, Sweep Series

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves defeated the Lexington Legends Sunday afternoon 3-1 at State Mutual Stadium before a crowd of 1,869. The Braves swept the four game series.

Rome took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on Tanner Murphy's RBI double. Lexington tied the game in the sixth when Anderson Miller singled to score Austin Bailey. The Braves regained the lead for good in the seventh when Matt Tellor led off the inning with his third home run and Hector Olivera hit into a double play to plate the second run. The Rome bullpen shutdown the Legends for the final two frames to earn the win.

Mitchell Osnowitz (1-2) is the winner and Emilio Ogando (5-8) is tagged with the loss. Dustin Emmons gets his fourth save of the season.
