Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today that they have named Alex Loh as the Thunder's Assistant Coach. Loh joins Head Coach Cail MacLean, Athletic Therapist Howard Theberge and Equipment Manager Brian Sersch on the Thunder's hockey operations staff.

Loh, 30, joins the Thunder from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League, where he spent the past three seasons as a member of the Pirates' coaching staff. Loh was the Pirates' Video Coach for two seasons from 2013-15, following a season as the team's Video Intern in 2012-2013. Prior to his time with the Pirates, Loh spent the 2011-12 season as an assistant coach with the Men's Division III hockey program at Colby College in Waterville, ME. The 2008 McGill University graduate also spent two seasons as the Head Coach of the varsity hockey program at Peoples Academy in Morrisville, VT from 2009-2011.

"'I am extremely excited to join the Adirondack Thunder and to assist Head Coach Cail MacLean for the upcoming season," Loh said. "It is an honor to join both the Thunder and Calgary Flames organizations. I would like to thank Cail, Brad Pascall, Brian Petrovek, and everyone else involved for the opportunity to work with the Thunder. Glens Falls is a wonderful area and I believe it will be a great venue for the ECHL. I can't wait to get started on the 2015-16 season and continue the proud hockey tradition in this community."

Full season, partial season, flex and group ticket plans are now available to renew or purchase for the Adirondack Thunder's inaugural 2015-16 season, presented by Bud Light. The benefits of being a Thunder season ticket holder include a savings of 27 to 42 percent off box office pricing.
