Bombers End Regular-Season with a Bang on Firework Friday

Bryan-College Station, TX - With one regular-season game remaining before the 2015 TCL Playoffs begin on Saturday, the Brazos Valley Bombers looked to keep their momentum going and end the regular-season on a high note against the East Texas Pump Jacks.
After falling behind by 6 runs going into the bottom of the 6th inning, the Bombers rallied to score 6 runs to tie the game. The Bombers were not done there, however, as they scored one more in the bottom of the 7th to take the lead for good. Darick Hall's 2 RBI led the charge for the Bombers offensively in the comeback victory, giving the Bombers a sweep of the East Texas Pump Jacks heading into the TCL Playoffs.
Caldwell, Texas, native Blaine Suehs earned the victory for the Bombers on the mound. His record is now 2-0 on the season. Hunter Neal came out of the bullpen in the 9th inning to earn his second save in two nights for the Bombers.
Following Friday night's thrilling victory, the Bombers' record now stands at 42-9 overall and 23-5 in the second half. In their pursuit of a second national championship, the Bombers are currently ranked 8th in the nation in the Collegiate Summer Baseball Rankings
Friday, August 7 was Aggie Night with a Ty Warren Bobblehead giveaway, thanks to J4 Engineering. August 7 also featured the final Friday Night Fireworks show of the 2015 season, presented by Brazos Bingo.
On Saturday, the Bombers will play a one-game playoff at Cellucor Field against the East Texas Pump Jacks to determine who will advance to the TCL Championship Series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
