Houston Dynamo FC News Release

HOUSTON (Friday, Aug. 7, 2015) - The Houston Dynamo meet the San Jose Earthquakes at 8 p.m. CT tomorrow at BBVA Compass Stadium in a match presented by the Halliburton Charitable Foundation. A limited number of tickets are available at www.HoustonDynamo.com, by calling 713-276-GOAL, or by visiting the BBVA Compass Stadium box office (2200 Texas St., Houston) from 10 a.m. through kickoff tomorrow. A postgame fireworks show, presented by Kroger, will follow the match.

Tomorrow's game will be broadcast live on ROOT SPORTS Southwest Alternate Channel (channel guide) and can be heard on Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and in Spanish on La Ranchera 850 AM and 101.7 FM.

The visiting team has won each of the first two games between Houston and San Jose this year. On May 5, the Earthquakes came to Houston and left with a 1-0 win after Adam Jahn scored from a second-half free kick. The Dynamo returned the favor on July 10. In their first visit to the new Avaya Stadium, Ricardo Clark and Will Bruin scored in a 2-0 Houston win. Saturday's match is the final game between the clubs in 2015.

Dynamo captain Brad Davis reached two significant career milestones in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Sporting Kansas City. The longest-tenured Dynamo player assisted on Ricardo Clark's tying goal for his 100th regular-season assist with the club. Davis now has 118 career MLS assists (third all-time), and trails Landon Donovan (136) by 18 assists. In addition, Davis also surpassed 25,000 minutes played in all competitions with the club.

The Earthquakes are led by former Dynamo forward Chris Wondolowski, who is seventh on the league's all-time scoring list with 102 goals. The 2012 MLS MVP has reached that mark in only 216 career games, one of the best scoring rates in league history. The Quakes also feature Argentinian midfielder Matias Perez Garcia, who has one goal and a club-best six assists on the season. San Jose acquired Quincy Amarikwa from Chicago in early July and the forward has three goals in four games with his new club.

For the second time this year, former Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear returns to Houston with his new club. Kinnear guided the club through its first nine seasons, leading the Dynamo to MLS Cup titles in 2006 and 2007 and two more MLS Cup Final appearances (2011, 2012).

After tomorrow's game, the Dynamo begin a three-game road swing, starting Aug. 15 against the New England Revolution. The Dynamo return home on Aug. 29 to host the Vancouver Whitecaps. For tickets for the Dynamo's tenth season, including five-game plans starting at $99, visit www.HoustonDynamo.com or call 713-276-GOAL.
