PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Cincinnati Reds have announced the following roster changes for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos prior to tonight's game against the Jacksonville Suns at the Baseball Grounds in Jacksonville.

- Sal Romano, RHP, has been promoted from Advanced Single-A Daytona

- Cam Maron, C, has been released from his minor league contract

Romano, 21, will make his Double-A debut on Monday when he starts for the Blue Wahoos against Jacksonville. This season he is 6-5 in 18 starts for the Tortugas racking up 79 strikeouts and 33 walks in 104.0 innings of work. He's also allowed only two home runs on the season while batters are hitting .261 against him.

Maron, 24, hit .230 for the Blue Wahoos this year in 35 games. He scored 13 runs while hitting in eight RBIs.

Former Blue Wahoo Keyvius Sampson started Sunday's game against the Pirates for the Reds in his first major league start.

Former Blue Wahoo Kyle Waldrop was called up to Cincinnati on Friday and made his MLB debut on Sunday when pinch hitting for Sampson in the fifth inning.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos have 25 active players on the roster.

The Blue Wahoos travel to Jacksonville Suns and begin a five-game series Sunday. Come experience the family-fun entertainment when the team returns home August 7 to take on the Birmingham Barons.
