MOBILE, AL - The Milwaukee Brewers have announced the following roster moves that affect the Shuckers roster prior to today's 5:05 pm series opener, against the Mobile BayBears at Hank Aaron Stadium.

Josh Hader, LHP, reports to Biloxi after being acquired in trade from Houston (wears jersey #17)

Adrian Houser, RHP, reports to Biloxi after being acquired in trade from Houston (wears jersey #12)

Derek Eitel, RHP, released from his minor league contract

Tyler LaTorre, C, released from his minor league contract

Hader, 21, will make his first Biloxi start on Tuesday at Mobile. Hader (pronounced HAY-duhr), joins the club from the Astros and Double-A Corpus Christi was ouston's 2014 Minor League Pitcher of the Year and owns a 3-3 record and 3.17 ERA in 17 games, 10 starts for the Double-A Corpus Cristi this season. The 21-year-old lefty is 2-1 with a 1.96 ERA in his last 5 appearances, striking out 27 against 8 walks in 18.1 innings. Hader, who was acquired by the Astros in the Bud Norris trade with Baltimore in July 2013, held the Tex-as League to two earned runs or less in 13 of 17 Corpus Christi outings this year. He was tabbed the California League Pitcher of the Year last season, going 9-2 with a 2.70 ERA in 22 games, 15 starts for the JetHawks. Originally a 19th-round pick of the Orioles in 2012 out of Old Mill High School in Millersville, MD, Hader is averaging 9.7 Ks per 9.0 IP in his 4-year career.

Houser, 22, will make his first Biloxi start on Monday at Mobile. Hauser is also joining the Shuckers from the Astros and Double-A Corpus Christi earned the victory Tuesday for the Hooks against the San Antonio Missions after tossing 7.0 innings of two-run ball. He retired 14 of the final 17 batters he faced in what was his best Double-A start. Houser went 1-2 with a 6.21 ERA in 7 games, 5 starts for the Hooks. The Locust Grove, OK, native opened the year at High-A Lancaster, going 2-2 with a 4.35 ERA in 12 appearances, 8 starts. In his last four California League outings, Houser stood 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA while striking out 20 against 2 walks in 21.0 IP. Houser was drafted by Houston in the 2nd round (69th overall) out of Locust Grove High School (OK) in 2011.

Houser and Hader came over from Houston in a trade, along with OF Brett Phillips (activated yesterday) and OF Domingo Santana for Milwaukee OF Carlos Gomez and RHP Mike Fiers, announced by the Brewers on Thursday. Phillips, Houser and Hader all were members of the Double-A, Corpus Christi Hooks.

Eitel, 27, was signed by Milwaukee to a minor-league contract on June 26 after being released by the Diamondbacks on June 8. Eitel was assigned to Biloxi and activated from the disabled list on June 28 and placed on rehab assignment with AZL Brewers. Eitel was activated on July 7 and made his Biloxi debut that day at Montgomery, allowing two runs on three hits over 1.2 innings. In seven games with the Shuckers, the Rose-Hulman, IN native went 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA, adding 10 strikeouts against just two walks.

LaTorre, 32, played in 14 games for Biloxi and batted .133 (2x15) with a double and six walks. In 455 games over 10 professioional seasons, LaTorre was a career .241 hitter with 14 home runs and 131 RBIs. As a catcher, he has caught 25% of base stealers (77/228). LaTorre has accepted a coaching position with San Francisco State University. The Santa Cruz, CA native spent the first nine seasons of his career with the San Francisco Giants and he attended the University of California, Davis.

The Shuckers open a five-game series against the Mobile BayBears tonight at Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile LHP Brent Suter gets the start for Biloxi against RHP Braden Shipley for the BayBears. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 p.m., with coverage beginning at 4:50 p.m. on 1240-AM WGCM, 1580-AM WPMO and the Biloxi Shuckers Radio Network.
