Dream Forward Cierra Burdick to Have Surgery Wednesday

ATLANTA (August 2, 2015) - Atlanta Dream forward Cierra Burdick will undergo surgery on Wednesday morning at Emory Hospital in Atlanta to repair a stress fracture in her left foot.
Burdick is expected to be sidelined 4-6 weeks.
She was averaging 4.4 points and 3.2 rebounds while appearing in 11 games and making four starts after signing with Atlanta on June 17.
The three-time Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream is in its eighth season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
The Dream plays their home games at Philips Arena. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs in each of the past six seasons, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
