Wisconsin Rapids Rafters News Release

Battle Creek, Mich.- The Rafters begin a weekend series with red hot Battle Creek Bombers tonight at C.O. Brown Stadium. The Rafters have lost their last four games, while the Bombers come into the game winners of six straight games. Both teams are currently 9.5 games back of Kenosha in the 2nd half South Division standings.

The Rafters will throw Jack Riley (UConn) in this evening's ball game. The left-hander is 4-1 with a 2.26 ERA. Riley was a 2015 All-Star and will also be competing in the Major League Dreams Showcase. The accolades are all there for Riley as he looks to help Wisconsin Rapids get back to their winning ways this evening. In his only start against Battle Creek this summer, Riley went six innings and struck out three in the Rafters 6-3 victory. Scott Sency (Saginaw Valley State) will make the spot start for the Bombers.

The Rafters play Battle Creek again one last time tomorrow before returning home for a tripleheader against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. Tickets are still available for all remaining Rafters home games, call 715-424-5400 or buy online at RaftersBaseball.com.
