The Mudcats send RHP Brandon Barker to the mound tonight for game two of a three game series in Wilmington against the Blue Rocks. Carolina has won four straight games and can take the road series with a win tonight at Frawley Stadium. Barker enters tonight's start with a 5-3 record and 3.05 ERA over 11 starts this season with the Mudcats. He began the season with the Rome Braves and has also started once with Triple-A Gwinnett. Overall, Barker is 8-8 with a 3.44 ERA over 20 combined starts between the three levels. He currently leads the Braves farm system in strikeouts with 84 over 104.2 innings between Low-A, High-A and Triple-A this year. His last start came on 7/27 in Myrtle Beach and resulted in his third loss of the season. He gave up a two-run home run to Jason Vosler of the Pelicans and four total runs on five hits over seven innings pitched.
Tonight's game begins at 7:05 p.m. at Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, DE and will air on the Mudcats Radio Network with the pre game show beginning at 6:50 p.m.
