PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Cincinnati Reds have announced the following roster changes for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos prior to tonight's rubber match against the Chattanooga Lookouts at AT&T Field.

- Barrett Astin, RHP, has been reinstated from the temporarily inactive list

- Josh Smith, RHP, has been promoted to Triple-A Louisville

Astin, 23, is 2-2 this season with a 3.96 ERA in six starts for the Blue Wahoos. He was placed on the temporarily inactive list on July 27th. He will start tonight's game against the Lookouts.

Smith, 27, has gone 5-4 with the Blue Wahoos this year pitching 56.0 innings of work in nine starts. He has only walked nine people this season while striking out 53. In three starts for the Reds this year, Smith was 0-2 with a 7.30 ERA. In 12.1 innings of work, he allowed 12 runs, 12 hits and 13 walks and eight strikeouts. In Triple-A Louisville, Smith started eight games and was 1-3 with a 3.56 ERA. He threw 48.0 innings of work while giving up 49 hits and 19 runs with 11 walks and 35 strikeouts.

Former Blue Wahoo Keyvius Sampson was called up to the big leagues Thursday. He made his MLB debut on Thursday night with the Reds with an inning of relief giving up no hits and striking out two. He will start Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Former Blue Wahoo Kyle Waldrop was called up to Cincinnati on Friday and is looking to make his MLB debut.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos have 25 active players on the roster.

The Blue Wahoos have a rubber match against the Chattanooga Lookouts tonight and then travel to face off against the Jacksonville Suns beginning Sunday.
