LHP Dana Eveland (2.0 IP, H, 2 K) got the win for the Tides to improve to 1-0 on the season.
The Pigs grabbed an early 1-0 lead with a run in the first as Chase d'Arnaud (3-5, 2B, 2 SB, 2 R) doubled to start the inning, moved to third on a sac bunt and scored on Brian Bogusevic's RBI groundout.
Norfolk opened up a 3-1 lead with three runs in the third as Henry Urrutia hit a two-run shot off of Pigs starter Jason Berken and Paul Janish came through with an RBI double. It was Urrutia's seventh home run of the season.
In the home half of the same frame, d'Arnaud reached with a one-out single, stole second and scored on Tyler Henson's RBI single to cut the lead to 3-2.
Henson's single extended his hitting streak to seven games.
